I finished this model in jan/2024

That is a very realistic Jug you built!
Good to see a Brazilian P-47. Model is very well done.
Looks very nice, thanks for sharing,
Very nice work and interesting subject.
A distinguished unit, that left its mark on the Italian campaign.
Thank you, everyone,
The assembled version represents the unit piloted by Lieutenant Rui Barbosa Moreira Lima (D4) of the green squadron.
He was the creator of the motto of the 1st Fighter Aviation Group (Senta a Púa!). During combat, he carried out 94 missions. The first took place on November 6, 1944, and the last on May 1, 1945.
Lovely build covering a poorly known history of the Italian campaign. Where did you get the decals for the Brazilian air-force?
Really nice finish!

Hi @Rooster_Hahn , if you want it in 1/72 scale, it’s available on the website https://www.decalquesbrasil.com.br, look for the code FCM72020. In 1/48, look for FCM48071.
Welcome to the Forums Rooster!
Excellent build, Ricardo. I plan to do a similar Brazilian P-47D in 1/48 scale very soon. Your build gives me something to aim for. Just an FYI: The Brazilian Air Force recently finished the restoration of one of their Thunderbolts to flying condition. I think it’s this same airplane.
The B4 was piloted by Lt. Dornelles, who had two P-47s with the code B4 in Italy: one green, serial 42-26766, which was shot down on March 26, 1943, while piloted by Correia Neto, and another, in natural metal, serial 44-20800, which survived the war and was later scrapped. The Dornelles fell after being hit by fragments from the locomotive he attacked on April 26, 1945, in Alessandria, Italy.
