Our Latest Acquisitions Since 2017

Ordered Penguin and Batman from an estate sale collection from Sunward Hobbies in Canada.
Then decided I want the whole set, so I ordered Catwoman, also from the same estate sale.
Robin, Riddler and Joker bought off eBay. Riddler and Joker finally arrived today.
Getting the first three for Christmas.

Cheers,
Mark

You’re in for a treat with that Monogram T-6, I did the Reno Racer version of it a while ago and it was a joy to build :slightly_smiling_face:

The Riddler and The Penguin kits are my favorites from this series.

Holy model makers Batman, it’s a huge score!

MisterMeester, Congrats on getting those kits! At one time Moebius was going to issue the kit of Bat Girl but I haven’t heard anything about it. That show was an after-school staple for me growing up.

Looks like they did. Different box though.

@MR_TOM_SCHRY @fxsti03-42 Ya, that one is an anomaly. I’ve seen web images of completed Batgirls, but the box kit itself seems unavailable. Not on eBay and not even on the Moebius website.

Cheers,
Mark

I bought a conversion kit for the Penguin to model the Puttin’ on the Ritz scene from Young Frankenstein. A head that resembled Peter Boyle. Two big boots like he wore in the movie. And a cane.

@SprueOne
Ha ha ha! That’s awesome! Did you purchase that from the Escape Hatch? Curious.

Mark

I seriously cannot remember where I bought it but I bought it directly from the kit manufacturer. I guess I could look in the box for the shipping slip but that would also mean that I actually know where that kit is in the stash
Obviously I haven’t started this project yet.

I know that Escape Hatch also makes replacement heads for the “Joker” kit.

Went to HongKong and saw this 1/16 panzer 1 for just 60 sgd. I couldn’t turn it down… 1/16 scale is something I have wanted to work with and I finally have my first one!

I picked these up during my trip to Orangecon.

The Ple Two figure and Base Jabber were on my to-buy list, but they were sold out everywhere. Burbank House of Hobbies had both, at a more than reasonable price.

The Eagle is the older kit, but I wanted the booster pack and pod. They will be transferred to the newer Eagle kit in my stash.

The Badger 200 airbrush is a replacement for my 40-year-old unit. It’s a single-action airbrush, but I am comfortable with it. I did notice that the head assembly is not as simple as my older unit, so I will need to be more careful when stripping and cleaning it. I should have bought a new air hose too, as the one I have is quite dingy and stained.

The shiny Iwata is my backup airbrush, which I am still getting used to.

I also got a proper airbrush stand. As Rodney Dangerfield used to say “Oh yeah, it’s about time!”

The sprue rack organizer was something I initially ridiculed, but the sprues from the last model I worked on got out of hand, and I was getting frustrated finding the right one when I needed it.

I haven’t “acquired” anything new lately BUT there’s a local model contest in another week so I’m hoping that the vendors will have something that catches my attention.

Hi @Panthertonk,
Does this kit include PE and cable for that cable and buckles?

Been nearly two years since I’ve posted much of anything on this forum. Sorry for not keep myself active. Here are a few of my recent purchases: My best guess is there are around 25 more than what is being shown. Now I just need the time to build them all.

Some great stuff there Ben. I recently picked up the same dragster kit - comes with some fun stuff. I have been interested in the 1/16 PAK40 so… top of the pile please  Will the Sd.Kfz be towing it? I’ve never seen that jasmodel kit - all PE? museum piece if you’re patient enough to build that!

I went to a model contest today(Great entries and fantastic awards) and picked up Tom Daniels’ Sidewinder & Stinger both in 1/25 scale, the ESCI/ERTL WWII Triumph 3HW motorcycle & the Dragon Kleines Kettenrad with rider both in 1/9 scale and finally in 1/16 scale a MRC/Gallery Models German Stug III Ausf. G. So my Christmas shopping for myself is done for the year.

Christmas is coming. My wife has put in orders for ICM’s new Hampden Mk.B.1 and HK Models’ A-20 Havoc/DB7 Boston Mk. III. Yeah, not much of a surprise come Christmas morning, but she’s not going to know these are the two that I was most interested in.
