The camper shell will fit, its the same bed. You wouldn’t be able to use the roll bar and lights though

Local contest here last weekend had a couple vendors. My kids got a few free model mags and I got a “black mystery box”.

Pleasantly surprised to find an old Cromwell Models resin kit inside.

Captured A13 cruiser tank buried in the desert.

Kit is complete but missing the figures. I’m sure I’ll still be able to make some use of it.

Nice panzerturm dio. I like the idea of the ‘black mystery box’.

Yeah it’s a neat idea. Here’s the only reference I could find of it.

Gifted this from a friend who is not a scale modeler. It was given to him by another mutual friend.
Hobby Boss USS Alaska CB-1. 86513.
Partially built. Quite dirty, and can’t account for parts D1 and D3.

A very nice gesture, but honestly, I’m not a warship guy. Therefore, this kit is the lowest on my priority. Despite my modest stash, I think I have enough higher priority kits to keep me going until…well…you know.
Thinking of trying to sell it at a garage sale next year for ~$25.

Cheers,
Mark

Good that it is a new tooling, I had the first tooling but found the improved set and built it with some after market from Iroquois, resin cockpit and canopy parts and flame holders for the exhaust which allowed me set them deeper than the kit parts. I also made new intake ducts from fiberglass as in the kit they are very shallow and easily visible. The landing was sold by Iroquois at one time but wasn’t available when I built the kit and that would be a great improvement.

Here is my build log:

Hey John, thanks for the information. I built a 1/72 scale OTB but painted it in today’s colours as a “what if”. I have 2 more in my stash where I’m still deciding if I should build them to represent that sad fatal day in Canadian history or build them as operational with an open armament bay and the ordnance around it.

As for Iroquois Models, they are defunct. I’ve spent years looking for aftermarket parts and they have all dried up.

What I have been looking at is 3D printing files and came across this link which seems promising.

I purchased a 3D printer a couple of months back and have yet to find the time to “play” with it though my son has already started on some AIM-9s and the finished product is very promising.

Love RESKIT! They have a cool F35 pilot sitting in the cockpit. Would love to see their R&D/ creation room.

Bits and pieces of my next project, my first diorama are starting to arrive. It’s like Christmas in September!

Hope you do a work in progress. I have both those kits in the stash so I’m interested to see what you come up with for the diorama.

And another piece arrives for my upcoming diorama! I will do some sort of documentary for this build, but I’m paralyzed as to whether to call it a build log or work in progress. I’m losing sleep over it. What should I do? (stated with tongue placed firmly in cheek.)

Picked up a couple of Korean War kits-going to build the T-6 Mosquito for the current GB (started on one for the GB a few years ago but that’s another story) and save the P-80 for later. Decals are leftovers from first attempt.

Well I’ve been wanting this kit since I first stumbled across it awhile back. Not one, but two British Airborne jeeps!!!

I was in Knoxville TN visiting my mom who is in the hospital with a heart condition. I had some spare time so I stopped in the local Hobbytown. They had these 2 on clearance and I couldn’t resist. I paid about $14 for both of them.
