im not home now but check reviews on that Kinetic kit. I know that their F16s are a PITA to work on, lots of great detail but tons of fit problems.

Ye, i have heard they have problems. Iāll see what the reviews say once its out, but it may well be the only option we get in plastic.
OK, Bish, when you mention that you are going to build a spit, then I will question your health. [;)] Otherwise, Iāll look forward to your āpatrioticā builds! [:D]
@ridleusmc, you have me looking for a 1/48 CH-46 or 47 now! I really like the look of that kit!
When i do that you can have been put down. Thats offical.

Doesnt hasegawa do a couple of Brit F4s?
Not that i could find, only Fujimi. But if they did, i am guessing they will be a bit old by now. The way Airfix have been going, i will be more than happy to wait for theirās.
I stand correced, they have done a couple. they have an FG.1 from 1967 and an FGR.3 from 96. But blimey have they produced a lot of F-4 kits.
This afternoonās aquisition.

The pit will need a bit-o-detailing. If I get ambitious, I might try a scratch wing fold.
Might not be this year - there are alot of partially built kits on the table now.

I have been trying to get hold of that. Hannants sold out just as i was about to place an order and the ones on e-bay have silly shipping. I am hoping it will be back in soon as i plan on building it for the Midway GB.
Most of you that know me, have known that I only build armor. No more. Iāve tired of the 500 plus piece kits and have sold off my more complex kits. I just donāt have the time or patience. Iām slowly integrating aircraft. Iāve always liked Japanese aircraft, probably because they are so asthetically pleasing. So Iāve added 4 aircraft kits to make 7 in the stash with one under construction. Big learning curve, but Iām up to it. Iāve got a mix of newer and older. Iām not going to drop big bucks if I decide this isnāt for me. LOL

Hi Bish,
If you can find the Hasegawa Avenger kit - I would recommend that over this Academy kit.
I built the Hasegawa kit about 10 years ago (or more). It was a very nicely detailed kit that went together very well. It is hard to come by though.
I think this Avenger is an older Academy kit - so the details arenāt on par with Academyās more recent offerings - or the Hasegawa kit.

Music to my ears ! Welcome !
There are plenty of bargains out there for A/C builders

Kinetic is popping a C-17? What scale and when, followed byā¦NUTS! I thought my stash was done growing.
Iām jealous. I need to get some IJN and IJA aircraft. I better start with a zero.
1/72nd and it was due this year, but according to cybermodeler, its slipped to next year.
Thanks for the info, i will look a bit harder, but seems hard to get hold of. I think the Academy is from 87 and what i read said it was not brilliant. But if it comes to it, i will settle for the Academy, i can get a PE set for the bit so that might help a bt.
The Otaki kits are older, but much cheaper. Pretty good detailing and decals. I have 3 other Hasegawa kits, and they are more detailed, but more expensive. Iām going to work on the Otaki kits first and hone my skills before I tackle the Hase kits
Eric, canāt wait to see you build a wingy think.
You have to watch those japanese subjects though, i understand it easy to get the tracks on back to front [;)]
I have a Hasegawa 72nd F-4EJ and a 48th F-4G in the,stash
Nice Eric,Hasegawa makes some nice aircraft.
