Our Latest Acquisitions 2017-2025

Never heard of that brand kit before. Will be interested to see what is in the box!

Nice multi-media kit. Keep threatening to build mine

Congrats gomeral on getting a “Holy Grail” kit. Good luck with that build.
Your statement about it being the most expensive kit made me think that would be a good topic for a future question for the forum,“What’s the most expensive kit you’ve ever spent on a single kit?”

@WhatIfRebel with those four grays you only have 46 more to go to get to your 50 shades! :sunglasses:

I’ve been starting on this list here.

Ordered these F/A-18E/F/G Super Hornet Seamless Intakes (Hasegawa) from Phase Hanger Resin - Mike actually reduced his prices! Very nice clean prints. I’ll shop there again!

Hello everyone,
I got a few items last week. The 20 foot steel storage containers are for a future diorama

If this is your first BanDai AT-ST Anderson, you are in for a TREAT. Probably my favorite build ever in terms of construction.

My latest haul of loot took over two weeks coming from Super-Hobby in Poland, but I’ve finally got all the extra bits for my BoB group build Hurricane. I’ve never begun a kit with so much aftermarket fluff before – nor have I ever had one so well-planned out. Scope creep before the project has even started…

Speaking of scope creep, there’s also these inexpensive boxes (not the Hauler PE, that wasn’t inexpensive ) that are for dioramas/displays that are still quite early in the concept stage. But when you’re shipping from overseas, you might as well empty that wish list.

Lastly I nabbed this one at the LHS the other day after building the matching Zaku a couple weeks ago. These kits are so fun to slam together when you’re feeling bogged down just need to make progress on something. And can be pulled back apart into subassemblies for painting and weathering in the future…

I’m driving down to check out the local modeling club today, as a first-timer. Wonder if they’ll have vendors or a swap table… :grinning:

Wow!! What a great haul Tom. Seeing the ICM kit… I have been seeing some really nice kits come from them. Yes… this is going to be my first Bandi build. I am slowly starting to build up my Star Wars stash lol.
I’m looking forward to it.

Those Bandai Star Wars kits are very well engineered. I’ve done their 48th scale X-Wing (with sound effects), the tiny Super Star Destroyer, the tiny Blockade Runner, the 72nd scale A-Wing and B-Wing. I have several more in the stash - C-3P0/R2-D2, AT-AT, AT-ST, and the 5000th scale (?) Star Destroyer.

Most of my Star Wars stash consists of Fine Molds kits, all in 72nd scale, including X- and Y-Wing, TIE Fighters (regular, Darth Vader, and Interceptor), and the Millennium Falcon. I also have the snowspeeder, which I think is 48th scale. I’ve only built their Jedi Starfighter previously.

Also built Revell’s Republic Cruiser from Revenge of the Sith (which is, fyi, re-releasing for its 20th anniversary later this month). I lit that one up. The other in my stash is a 32nd scale TIE Fighter, AMT I think.

@Aggieman
The Bandai STAR WARS models do look really good.
Now if only Bandai would come out with Ahsoka’s T-6 Jedi shuttle, I’d be all over that in a heartbeat. Want, want, WANT!

@WhatIfRebel I’d certainly build that one too.

Very nice “eclectic” selection of kits there Scalemodeler66! I especially like the USS Lassen.

That’s awesome all lit up! Do you have any more details on a rerelease? I’d love to pick that kit up. Excellent SW builds across the board!

Ah, me too!

Did you happen to catch Adam Savage geeking out over the studio model they made for the show? ILM filmed some of the scenes in old school motion control!

Nice haul! Great variety of subjects. I did this 1/35 Trumpeter shipping container a couple years ago

And the GT-One is an awesome kit

Thank you for all the great insight and information Steven. I’m looking forward to building both kits.

Thank you Sir. Both of your kits turned out fantastic! I try to have verity of kits for several reasons, but mostly because of all the different topics to research and learn from. I am not a ship person for the most part, but my oldest daughter served on the USS Oscar Austin DDG as the (SIO) Ships Intelligence Officer. The kit I purchased is identical to her ship… I just need to change the ID number to 79, and I will be using 2000 grit sandpaper for the decks instead of black paint. To give it the texture. Once I complete the build I am going to surprise her with it.
