Our Latest Acquisitions 2017-2025

Thanks guys!

Brandon: Ya know now that I think about it probably about five. Oddly most of the built stuff I have is American despite having a pile of Japanese aircraft in the stash. I really, really, really need to get some this stuff built…

Just thinking back, I’ve finished four P-47Ds in the last decade. Despite having a boatload of Spitfires and Zeros I just kept building ‘Jugs’. And for the last couple years I’ve been on an armour binge and having finished a plane in ages.

Gamera: Love the Zeros you picked up. That A6M8 is especially choice. Can’t say Id ever heard tell of that kit before.

A few new items for my modeling pleasure has come my way.

This was my birthday present from the wife unit. It arrived a few days after my birthday but, was well worth the wait. She be a keeper for sure. I have yet to try them but, I will be giving them a test drive shortly.

Then there is this wonderful combo that I won on auction. Got a great deal on managing to win both.

Hit HL on the way home from getting a sink base cabinet for our kitchen remodel. Grabbed a few Testors square bottles and a bunch of acrylics in colors I use the most of. ($150 worth). Still have to hit the LHS in Salem and a LHS in Beaverton when I go up for a VA appt. next month.

Will pick up the humbrol acrylics for the big Hellcat and Stuka then as well.

Some interesting builds coming up it looks like.

John,

Which version of the GT are you going to do? If you’re looking for something different, go to the Indycals website and click on the IMSA page. Down at the bottom are some very interesting schemes.

Lewbud, I was going to do the OOB markings, but now I have some thinking to do  thanks for the tip.

I was also thinking of going with the OOB decals but, then I found these and it was a done deal. They are currently enroute.

That’s sharp Joe!

Joe: Ohhhhhh nice IJN Yukikaze!!!

And those pencils look interesting, please let us know how they work out.

Another fun build…

Oh that’s cool Pat! Love these, I need to build another soon!

Hello Mr Postman! Today my second Eduard Carrier Deck base that I ordered at the same time as the Japanese one came in!!!On a slow boat from England I guess… as that is where the seller on eBay was located.

Just like the IJN one, very nice detailing molded into the surface

Ohhhhhhhhhh, I like that carrier deck plate! Nice!!!

Nice deck Stick

Pat, I believe that’s adorable than the B17

I received my reward for winning 3rd in Bandai’s Galctic Model Contest.

Two Bandai kits. My wife love the Stormtrooper and I’m pretty stoked about the X-wing.

Thanks Steve, there’s two more egg planes to be going on with…

I’m sort of embarrassed posting what I’ve picked up since the middle of April.

Most of this these came from SprueBrothers.
More stuff from SprueBrothers apart from the Alpine figures. You can probably guess what projects are in the works.

Found these rather interesting figures on eBay by Max Factory they usually make anime figures and statues.

The figures are “alright” they remind me of the figures from Tamiya during the 90’s. The Russian figure box art is some of the worst box art I’ve ever seen. If it wasn’t for the novelty factor of the manufacture and box art I’d have passed.

Joe,

Very cool scheme. Not only is it a beautiful car, the team owner is a class act as well.

Pat,

Nice collection of eggplanes you got there!

Stik,

Looking forward to seeing what goes on top of the bases.

Steve,

Nice haul! They even sent you the correct scale X-Wing!

GreySnake,

Nice collection of ground targets and figures. Looking forward to seeing them.

Now for my latest finds. A 1/72 Tamiya F-84E/G along with a set of decals for the 111th FBS when it was stationed at K-2, Taegu, Korea as part of the 136th FBW 5th AF in January, 1952. I have a 1/72 Fujimi F-4C/D on the way. I’m halfway there to acquiring one of each a/c type the 111th flew. Still need to source a P-80C (Sword), F-86D/L (Special Hobby), F-102 (Meng Pres. Bush), Revell F-101B, and MQ-1 Predator (Platz). I thought that finding decals for the F-84 would be tough, but are almost no aftermarket decals for the P-80 and zero for the Predator. Looks like I’m learning how to make decals.

Nice Haul -

Got these two while ordering paint. The Lincoln should be interesting - not sure how it’s a 3 in 1 wagon/convertible but look forward to it. I’m going to do the convertible to model Early’s ride from Kalifornia

The Nova is just bad ass

Oh those are cool guys!

Greysnake: I picked up those Plamax Russian tank crew figures too. I love that lady in the short skirt- she looks like some sort of Russian seductress from a James Bond movie!

Man, you folks have been gathering up some really cool stuff.

Stik: Love those Eduard bases. I have the U.S. carrier deck and the Marston mats. They are really nice. I guess i should actually pull them out and paint them up and ready for use.

Keav: That Lincoln definitely is an interesting one. Curious myself.

My latest is this gem I got off ebay still sealed for an extremely reasonable price. Been wanting this for many years. Glad to pull the trigger on one as a bargain.
