I’m liking the Jaguar!
I find Le Man series type cars really appealing and Mustang fighters are always a favourite nice order. Another favourite of mine is the Sunderland I ordered one when I went on line for Vallejo yellow Air Colour and flow improver and couldn’t resist adding a couple more old favorites. They arrived on Thursday and Friday still waiting for the yellow that started the loss of self control.
I hear you on decals Lew. There are more attractive schemes than there is room on my shelves or in the stash. And yes, the H is a whole different Pony than the D. Sort of like the A to B.
The TC is for my M46 build. It’s in the armor section if you’re bored and have the time.
Nice hauls guys this is what I got the other day.
I like that Tornado, 1961!
A big fish landed in my office the other day:
It’s Paleocraft’s 1/20 Dunkleosteus, a Devonian Era super predator. How big was the real deal?
An Archelon would not stand a chnace.
Inspiration for the Return of the Jedi Rancor?
Oh that Dunky is awesome!!!
SWIM ARCHELON SWIM!!!
Oh and the other stuff is cool too!!!
SP: I picked up the DEF Miniatures set of Korean War refugees a while back. Very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the figures.
Panzer Joe, those are some fine acquisitions!
Real G, that sea monster looks pretty frightening! I’ll bet that Lucas or ILM used that for some inspiration for both the Rancor and some of the deep sea creatures on Naboo. Who says that sea monsters have never been real?
Yike,
As if I weren’t already scared enough of the water. Now I’m going to have night mares about prehistoric fish with teeth bigger than my head coming to get me [:O]
And now you have to build an aquarium dio with all these finned friends
And invest in some sea-colored backdrop paper for photos! [:D]
Prehistoric creatures are kind of like “Luftwaffe 1946” to me - so many bizarre and outright scary looking ones! I think that’s why I like them so much. I wonder if anyone does a Eurypterid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurypterid or Orhtocone https://www.bbc.co.uk/science/seamonsters/factfiles/giantorthocone.shtml model?
Mail call
You’ve almost got yourself a “Bluesmobile” there. Very cool.
Ha - those close!
Super fun week. I pre-ordered the Mustang from UpScaleHobbies months ago and told Chris to ship the GT when the Mustang came in. Pretty excited about these kits. And the wheels on the Mustang look like my Forgeline GS1R race wheels - I need to get another set for my Boss 302.
Absolutely outstanding acquisitions keav! I may very well need to add the Mustang to my GT40.
I picked up two more versions of the Zero I didn’t have in my stash. Jeaton was nice to send me a list of different Zero models, I still don’t have a complete series but this does help.
The A6M7 was a fighter/bomber with additional hardpoints for mounting bombs and other munitions.
The A6M8 was the last model of the Zero produced before the Imperial Japanese war-machine collapsed. She mounted a bigger more powerful engine. Which Hasegawa provides in resin along with the larger cowling. Only two were produced before the war ended.
And though not a model I thought I’d post this. I need another SBD Daultless now. I built one years ago but didn’t have the cut-outs for the dive brakes. I just painted them all black instead of drilling out the hundred little holes or replacing them with PE.
That’s awesome Cliff!!
Nice score. I’ve been eyeballing both of these on Evilbay. You’ll have to let us all know how good they are.

Nice kits and a great movie. How many Japanese birds do you have built now?
