OT-26 by a new modeler

It’s my pleasure to introduce yet another new page - the fourth page for this month. It shows 5 warships in 3 scales all built by Art Instructor’s brothers - Tuk and Toom- plus an armor and a dio.

Mirage’s OT-26 - by “Toom” (Art Instructor’s big brother)

This is from my latest page:

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Intresting build, but this model is way too shiny due to gloss or something. The light reflecting off the model is sorta hurting my eyes.[]

I like it, it is an interesting piece.

[#ditto]

What country used it? Don’t believe I have ever seen it before.

I’d also like to know some background no the vehicle, it’s interesting to say the least.

As for the model… I think it’s the lighting/ camera flash making it look shiny. Probably overexposed or too much light. The weathering looks great, especially on the turret. To me it looks like an old tank that’s been sitting for a few years without being touched.

I think it looks very well done. I assume that this is an early Russian tank of some sort. Can you give some details as to Toom’s weathering techniques?

This is a russian flame tank from the early war period. As you can see, it is based on the extremely popular Vickers 6-Ton chassis which was used as a base for many other tanks.

Beautiful work, for sure. Interesting color…

Totally rad dude!I like it!

See, beyond me more people should eschew Dragon and Tamiya and buy from Mirage, RPM, Zvezda, Eastern Express, and the like, because they do produce such bizarre things like this.

I’m rather convinced that Zvezda, EE, and others like SKIF have the goal to produce every russian piece of armor since the 1930s. And you can go even earlier and get civil war era armored cars from ARMO.

Ridiculous
