Several weeks ago there were postings about the P-51 crash at the EAA AirVenture fly-in. The new issue of Warbirds identified the pilot as Gerry Beck of Wahpeton, North Dakota. The brief item explains why many of us did not recognize his Mustang. The article states that he built the P-51A from original North American Aircraft plans and specifications.
