Have any of you had any issues buying items off of Ebay that were located in Ukraine or China? I want to buy some specific decals for an F-8 Crusader and the ones I really want are in Ukraine. Some other parts I’ve wanted to buy are located in China. Any issues to report?

I have ordered a few hard to find resin printed parts from ebay that shipped from Ukraine and China. Only pay via Pay Pal. If they dont offer that payment option I dont buy it. I also keep it limited to small amounts, like under $50 so if it never gets to me I am not out a significant amount of $$

I bought a couple of items last month from China,both sellers stated clearly that seller pays additional custom fees and that the stated shipping cost was all that was expected,it proved true,no extra charges and quick delivery.If it doesn’t state that,I wouldn’t order.

I order from both places with no trouble, but James (Project510) and Tony (Tojo72) make some good points.

It might take some time to arrive, but so far no problems… and definately take advantage of paypals buyers protections…

I’ve ordered kits from Dorawings through their eBay shop and had no problems with shipping or receiving the kits. It took about a month, each time.

No issues here; the Chinese sellers in particular seem to take their EvilBay ratings seriously. I’ve had parts issues twice and they took care of me both times.

I’ve ordered from both, no issues. If I have to use a credit card I use a virtual card specific for that purchase. No issues so far. Although I’ve not bought anything since the tariffs from China. As I never know what it will ultimately cost me as UPS collects the Tariff. From the Ukraine it can sometimes take a long time. Tried to buy something recently and they currently didn’t sell to the US due to Tariffs…

Ordered from The Plastic Models Store in Ukraine, and USPS lost it. Not the store’s fault. I got the tracking numbers. Looks like it got to San Francisco, but after that it just vanished.
I buy almost everything from China through AliExpress. Fantastic prices, great service and here in NZ no added taxes or anything. I bought the MENG Audi R8 kit there too and it was 1/3 the price of here. All my tools etc come from there too. The only thing it’s expensive to get through there is paint and the like which is difficult to have posted because of international flight rules so cheaper to buy here. Derek
