After seeing the new Moebius 69, 70, and 71 F-100’s, I want to replicate my 70 F-250 crewcab. What are my options to find a Ford Dana 44/60 axle, or hack a Chevy right hand drop axle if available? And I need a NP-435 four speed also.
I don’t know of a driver drop front, but the Chev early Blazer is on shelves, and you can occasionally find a Jeep Honcho p/u, but I sure wouldn’t raid that kit for the axle. Only issue on either is 6 bolt once you get the punkin swapped.
I don’t know if any of the newer body style Dodges are kitted or not but those would be driver drop. Might also look to some of the monster truck offerings and see what is there.
Nearly all the real monster trucks use Rockwell 2.5 and 5 ton axles so that won’t work, unless the kit uses a light duty axle. I will have to keep on looking for something.
How about one of the old Ford van conversion kits? I seem to remember a couple of them in the past. Lug count might be different but…
Are you looking for a Dana 44 front or a dana 60 front?
