One of the best detailed kit I ever saw, Grumman Goose 1/48

Hi there guys!

Santa arrive early this year and got me this… and man what a great gift! a 1/48 Signifier Grumman Goose

I never see a Signifier kit before, and what a pleasent surprise, as many of you knows I usualy like to build unusual planes or/and unusual schemes… The goose is one of those planes, is not an unsual plane, but it will take 100 years before tamiya or hasegawa lunch a kit of this plane. Now thanks to this french brand, we got the chance to model this great seaplane…

The main parts are molded in gray plastics, with little flash and great surface detail

the clear parts are vacuformed, with an injection option for the windshied, and clear resin wingtips lights

But when you open all the bags with the resin goodies is when the kit really shines! looks like you got a kit with tons of aftermarket stuff, the level of detail is awesome!sadly mi cammera macro function isn´t very good…

look at this:

Separate control surfaces

and four markings options…

But I will try to do my own decals for an Argentinian Navy antartic scheme…

Well guys… I´m NOT working for Signifier LOL, but I just wanted to shaer with you what I think is a great kit, hope you like it…

best regards to all

Jeremias

Looks awesome! I’ve been wanting one of those kits ever since I’ve know they existed. They are pricey though and after shipping, they get a little cost-prohibitive here in the US. Maybe I’ll luck out one of these days and find one at a swap-meet.

I can’t wait to see your WIP of this. Enjoy!

Nice review, Jeremias! Be sure to post WIP photos so we can see how she builds! Looks like you’re in for a good time

Looking forward to seeing how it builds up.

I want to eventually get one to build as Cutters Goose from Tales of the Gold Monkey. [:D]

Eric…

Thank you for the review, Jeremias. I am now interested in finding one of these kits, and it’s really nice to read your observations and see the kit’s parts. I can’t wait to see this one, after it receives another one of your skillful builds.

Looks like a sweet little kit! I will be watching for your build of this one. [:D]

COOL!!! I’ve always loved the “Gosse” or as I use to call it “El Gansito” diminutive for The Gosse in spanish. I build one myself some time ago, mine was a Czech models kit. I’ve been looking for another one to build.

Can’t wait to see yours done! Cool scheme you’ve choosen!

Thanks a lot fot the coments guys! glaad you like the kit. I will make a WIP post for you guys when I start the build

Justin: the kit is not that expensive, I got it for 35 Dolars, wich is no much more than any other 1/48 kit, with no resin items. for the Argentinian tipe of exchenge it was a very expensive kit, 35 U$D are 135 pesos, like the 10% of the basic salary here… so even if was very expensive for argentinian standards I think that still is a good value. [:-^]

Eric: go for it! I think it will be a cool model!

Alfalfa: here were called the Ganso too! LOL do you have pics of your model?

best regards to all

Sure Jere! I felt in love of this airplane when I used to watch Tales of the Gold Monkey when I was a kid! The Cutter Goose was called in the show.

Here’s the pictures of my model…It is a Czech Model kit, built OOB. However there’s a bunch of mistakes on her, I had not much sources for my research when I built her some time ago. That’s the reason I want to built another one (The Goose Ver 2.0) now that I have a couple of books and a bunch of pictures I’ve have dowloaded trough net.

Do not forget to post pictures of yours when’s done! Can’t wait see her in “Esquema Argentino”

Later Jere!
