Hello all, was wondering if anyone has a source for older model kits. In particular, I`m looking for the Revell 1/72 Convair B-24 Blue Streak kit. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Ed.
Rare plane detective is a good place to start here is the link.

I did a quick look through my stash. I am not Familiar with the “Blue Streak” , this is the only kind of Revell Convair B-24 kits I have.
Thanks soulcrusher for the info, I`ll try these guys. Ed.
Hello Summit, sorry I was vague on the description, that is the kit I`m looking for, the name on this particular bomber was Blue Streak, not so much the kit series, sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Ed.
If I remember right, the Blue Streak is the same kit, different decals.
Hello ikar01, it appears that Revell made a couple of different versions of the B-24 early on, the kit Im looking for is the H203-200 or the H203-250.It appears that these kit numbers had the Blue Steak nose art decals. I checked both of the websites recommended and found that Rare-Plane Detective has none of these. OldModelKits has a couple of these but the price seems a little on the high side to me, especially for these particular kits. Anyway, the kit pictured is the one I
m looking for and I guess decals shouldnt make any difference, especially with what
s on the market today. Ed.

Eddie, I agree with Keyworth keep trying ebay, the prices seem much better then “Collector Stores” . Also one of the things you need to watch out for early kits are the decals. Depending on where and how they were stored has a lot to do with condition. I build mostly kits from the 60’s & 70’s and Decals are what I fear the most anymore [oops] . But I have gotten pretty good and preserving and handling them [;)].
Thanks Keyworth, I checked the sites you listed and will be keeping an eye on a couple of the sites, especially the ones posting the H-203 kits. Thanks again for your help. Ed.
Thanks for the advice Summit. After browsing ebay I found that there can be quite a difference in pricing, not just in the kits I am looking for, but any of the “vintage” kits. I have a couple of the older kits from my younger days that have been stored away in the deep dark recesses of my basement. Any advice on preserving the decals? Thanks, Ed.
FYI,
Rare Planes Detective will be at the Mesquite Holiday Inn on the 22nd of March from 6pm until 9pm. I got the flyer at our club meeting yesterday. That’s Mesquite, TX in case you’re not from these parts. It appears they are doing a tour of many cities. Check their web site for more info I’d imagine.
Thanks dcaponeII, Rare Planes is going to be in our area in late April, in Runnemede, New Jersey, about an hour from where I live. Thanks,Ed.
