Old airbrush / new parts question

I’ve recently added a Wold A1, a Wold A2, and a Thayer & Chandler “A” to my meager collection of old airbrushes. My question is, since both of these are pretty darned similar to the Badger 100, will a Badger 100 needle work in them? I’m thinking it would have to be the fine needle. How about the actual tips - do any of you know if a Badger tip will thread onto an older T&C or Wold head, in case the tip is trashed on any of these.

Actually, if you do a little Google research on airbrush history, it’s pretty interesting. Lots of the names that you might recognize were connected in the early years. Like Wold worked for T&C, then left & founded Wold Airbrush. Paasche worked for Wold, left & founded Paasche airbrush… Badger didn’t come along until the 60’s, and now they own T&C, etc…

Sorry, can’t answer your question, but if you are interested in airbrush history check out the Airbrush Museum Site

Thanks for the link, that’s pretty interesting reading.

BTW, I tried out one of my 20 dollar T&C model A’s last night, after I straightened the tip of the needle. I’ll be darned if the thing didnt’ work pretty well! I snagged another one off ebay, along with two spare needles - hope they aren’t bent already!

Cheers

I have a model A airbrush and you can swap most parts for Badger 100 parts if need be.
