Old 1960s TV show The Invaders

Anyone know of a site with photos of the old UFO flying saucer they used in the TV show? I found some sites regarding the old series, but they lean towards episode guides and cast/crew lists.

I beleive Aroura did a ship in the 60’s, don’t know if it was ever reissued, check Ebay.

I have the kit, Monogram reissued it in the 80s and 90s. I wanted to see if there were some detail shots of the studio model somewhere. The kit rather resembles a silver lamp shade and I wanted to add some life to it.

Oh, oh, OH…I know the answer. I found this web site about a month ago with the saucer picture in it. And it has some Invaders games too.

Off Topic but, Roosterfish, that is an awesome E-A!!! Got any bigger shots of it?

Off topic 2: Thanks for the compliment. That is a resin StarCrafts 1:1400 Enterprise 1701-A. It isn’t very big at 8 1/4-inch long. The deflector and its blue area were painted a silvered blue and the blue on the sides of the engineering hull is two-tone blue. The hull was the hard part since the model was so small I had to make a tiny template for paint masking.

I hate making stands but I love them when I get done. To me a stand is the only time a person can get 100% creative with the painting. So the stand is my “blue crocodile” paint job.

Thanks, they were both exactly what I was looking for. I’ve used a lot of putty along the circumference of the lower seam between the upper and lower saucer halves. Each of the landing struts have four ejection marks, each has to be puttied and sanded.

All of the interior walls had four ejection marks that I had to putty and sand as well. I painted the saucer interior floor gunship gray. The interior walls will be a lighter gray.

Just an interesting fact- the Invaders TV show saucer model was built by the same effects house that built the original star trek enterprise!
