I took your suggestions. The only thing I didnt do was drill the holoe in the 50 cal because 1) I didnt have a small enough bit. 2) I tryed the exacto but it was about to break. Everything else I fixed.
So here are the pics of stuff i changed except the fact that i sanded paint ripples on the turret. (the camera wouldnt focus)
Tracks
Rear lights
Chipped decal
Front lights
These are the final pics until weathering (which wont be for a while)
I promise.[;)]
Ahh,the decal looks much better now!
very nice and clean. good build. no glue or paint mishaps as far as i can tell. r u gonna weather it?
Yes much better
thx Nick, Gringe, and Tigertankman.
Gringe- I am going to weather it, but only when im going to put it in a dio. Which im going to do. Im also going to put the stowage on too. I am going to do it this way so my weathering doesnt limit what type of dio I can put it in.
Good job ygmodeler. Should look good when in your dio.
looks good ygmodeler4. will look even better when you weather it. what do you have planned for the dio?
looks good ygmodeler. nice job
Thanks Tigerman, JCheung, and Geoff.
JCheung- I dont know yet but something small.
Turned out good. Great improvements.
ygmodeler4,
You are to be commended for your willingness to go back and correct some small things. Makes it much nicer [tup][tup]

man I’m just curious since I’m going to start my Sherman soon… I painted mine in Model Master Olive Drab, but I have a bottle of Medium Field Green. Your pics don’t look like my olive drab, I mean mine is a more olive colour, much like the borders on this page where it says “Quick reply” I know I may sound stupid, but I am new to American Armour to be honest… you sure that’s Olive Drab? What number is the paint?
CDN-I wouldn’t worry about the slight difference in olive tone. Correct me if I’m worng, you experts, but I think that olive paint in WW2 differed between manufacturers and even the year in which it was made. I bet anything close will look fine for you.
Ygmodeler- The pic is a little blurry, but I think the touched up star looks great.
Edit- I forgot something: Ygm- go find a welding supply store in your area, ask them for a tip drill or tip claening set. This is a series of very small drill bits in their own pin vise. Where I got mine, it cost me about $12.
you can also order an excellent Pinvice from Games Workshop… it’s about the same cost, just incase you can’t find a welding shop around. it has the bits inside and is perfect for most, if not all modelling subjects///
Thanks Jetjag, you’re right about the Olive !!
CDN-The label says Olive Drab Ana 613. the thing before all mthat is 4842.Hope that helps.
