Buffirn:

Let me know guys what your doing for a kit. I am thinking of One of Dragons’ Arlight Burke destroyers or the new U.S.S Independence, but havnt decided yet.

START DATE: NOVEMBER 1, 2010. AND WE CAN ALLWAYS EXTEND THE DEADLINE IF NEED BE BUT ITS A LONG WAYS OFF!!! HAPPY MODELLING AND CANT WAIT TO START.[:D]

I haven’t had much luck with completing a couple of past group builds due to family emergencies and other issues that pushed my model building on the back burner but I been wanting to start on the 1/350 Arizona so I will give it a shot!

Ok, you can add me to this one… I have some ships in dry dock I can complete in here, and a couple I am starting. I will start with re-starting the Samuel Adams DDG-2 and take it from there.

Awsome I will put both of you in for it. Welcome aboard!!!

iv got plenty of ships to do most are 1/350 or 1/700 scale the main 1 i want to complete is the trumpeter 350 scale repulse its about 40% complete so just about eligable

iv also got

bismark

musashi

missouri

graf spee

prinz eugen

all 350 scale

No worrys about it at all. Theirs a good chance that if the group continues to grow the deadline can allways be changed. Welcome aboard Archangel shooter!!!

Sounds great cant wait to see it. Post a pic if you have one of what it looks like now so we can get a feel where you are now and can dream of where you’ll end up. Welcome aboard.

So i will be stoping by my hobby store tomarrow and looking for a kit. Thinking of a DDG, maybe a carrier (I love positioning the small aircraft), or if the store has it i will get the new LCS class!!! One way or another I am coming home with something [:P]

the type vii is the same scale!!

the doomed pair

Well here are my two entries

First up Dragons 1/350 USS Ticonderoga, I’ll be building as the Yorktown (CG 48)

I rate it as about 40 % done, while the basic hull is in place along with superstructure, all the small bits plus overall painting (hull needs re-painting) and Lionroars PE guard rail set.

Second up is Tamiya’s 1/350 Yamato

I figure this girl is about 10% done. I’ve had to totally rebuild the hull after shattering it, otherwise I’ve added metal barrels to the main guns, some painting and a couple of ladders from the rear section and main guns from the Eduard PE set, leaving ALOT of work to go.

Andrew

Cool can’t wait to see them 100% complete.

Awsome, Kind of sucks you had to re-build the Yamato. But it looks good what you have their. I will add em to the list.

Picked up my kit today. Trumpeter’s 1/350 USS Cole DDG-67. Will probably get yelled at by the girlfriend, ended up spending more money then i expected but oh well lol.

Here is a cool reference page from Wikepedia, its a list of Current Ships of the U.S. Navy. Alot of good information found on this one page.

6 days till anchors away. Very Excited. If you want to you may start priming but thats it!!! Have fun and I am excited to start seeing some pictures!!!

I got a Tamiya 1/350 USS Enterprise CVN-65. I already started on her (she’s a commission build) before seeing this GB. All I have done on her is put on a few gangways, propeller shafts, rudders and gave her a coat of red on the bottom. Is this OK? I kind of will keep working on her before Nov 1, though she is a big ship so progress will be very slow. Adding a scratch built hanger bay.

Cool yea welcome aboard. Be great to see some pics of it.

sign me up with the revell 1 350 bismarck

I’m in!

My entry will be Trumpeter’s 1/350th USS Lexington with GMM photo-etch and 30 additional aircraft.

I jumped the gun a little bit and started her last night.

Airfix 1/72nd Flower Class Corvette

Nichimo 1/200th IJNS Yamato
