I would join the build if I had not already built it this year. I wish I would have had those pictures you have when I built my kit. They provide a pretty detailed look at the A/C. Thanks for sharing them.

I have no idea which kit/scale yet, but I am thinking “long range escort” with my build.
If the wife said i couldn’t take part, firstly i would want to know what she was doing in my house, and second i would stab the B***H. But seeing as those dates deffinatly count me out, i will just look in from afar.

Certain situations may mean asking for 2-29 day extensions, so long as it is cleared with the wife… [;)]
I am off to the Falklands at the end of Jan and not back till end of April, then i have 3 kits for 2 other GB’s to do, including my own. So i can’t really drop out of that one. maybe a 229 day extension would be better.
As for clearing it with the wife, i will ask my Solicitor to ask her’s if i am allowed. But she would probably want even more off me for saying yes.
Wow, the Falklands? That’s quite the commute. Glare at Argentina for me will ya? [:@] I was just reading some background on the Falklands War a few weeks back thinking it is a subject that could prompt a group build of some kind.
This will be my third time there, i just got back at the start of August. Its an 18 hour trip if all goes well.
I don’t think i have ever see a Falklands GB and i have a chinook with the right markings, which is good because in the UK that the type we mostly work with and are on the same base. Might be an idea for 2012 as it will be 30 years since the war.
I’ll need to go with an extension too, I’ll pick up a kit somewhere around the first of the year.
Currently planning on going with the 1/72nd Revell kit.

Wow, way to make me feel old, I remember closely following the activity in the Falklands war with my friends when I was in the 8th grade. If you get a Falklands GB going for the 30th Anniversary I’ll join in.
Maybe you can do a paper Ho-229 for this GB, all you need is scissors, white glue and $5.50.

So what age would 8th grade have made you. I was 12 at the time and remeber watching the daily updates on the news. Of course we didn’t have news 24hours or the internet at the time.
