I’m applying the decals to my Audi R10 TDI.
I applied a coat of Future, and all the decals are laying down fine - using Micro-Sol.
One decal (the German flag) has discolored the area around it - the decal is fine, but the area around it has turned white.
It sounds as if the Future wasn’t fully cured before you applied your decals.
Actually, if your model was painted with a gloss paint, you can skip he “Future” step as it’s unnecessary.
Anyway, on occasion, MicroSol can cloud Future if it’s not fully cured (at least 24 hours) before application. In most cases the clouding can be fixed simply by applying more Future over the cloudy areas. This should solve your problem.
I had this happen on a Beaufighter I built a few years ago. The suggestion I was given at the time was to put another coat of Future over the affected area and it would clear up. This did work for me, so I’m passing that along to you. Good luck.
Micro Sol has an alcohol base if I’m not mistaken - at any rate, it can eat into the Future undercoat, causing the discoloration. Happens to me all the time. A second coat of Future should cure it as though it never happened.
