Over the weekend, I came across a 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.IXc by Ocidental. Seems like a solid kit to me but I’m torn whether I want to get it over the Eduard brand I planned on getting because it was cheaper. I’m curious in how good are Ocidental kits? Are they just as good as Eduard?
It was a late 90s limited run style kit that has seen new life in MPM and Italeri reissues. It was not highly thought of when it came out. Here is an article about the Italeri reissue from nearly ten years ago
Heh - no wonder. It’s actually an Italieri kit. Thanks Rob. Looks like I’m scratching that one off and get the Eduard instead.
Its not actually an Italeri kit - the Italeri kit is actually the Occidental kit.
