Happy Halloween!
Was that the “B” or the “C” model?
Very nice! So what camoflage scheme are you going to airbrush on it?
I don’t think camo was applied to the G model, it was left bare ghost metal ; )
The shading is a little much but in all and all not to bad hehehe
Bud
How will you store it? I have done these and they deteriorate very rapidly…
Also, they smell…
Happy Halloween!

Are the flaps “up” or “down”?

It only has to survive 3 nights so I’m hoping very little will need to be done to keep it from going bad. On the 3rd night some punk teenager will probably take care of the rest.
Well i like it overall (for a G model) I prefer the F myself. Anyway I like it but I think maybe a little heavy on the weathering. Also the G had a much smaller stem, this looks more like a B model to me. But I have never really been much of a seed counter so I guess that does not matter much. I like the camo which looks to have the correct orange markings for the North American Theater of operation (NAT). This is one you should be proud of. I think I might go out and pick me one up to build this weekend. I hear they are going on sale Nov 1 though, so maybe Ill wait till then.
“Never been much of a seed counter” LOL at Dave!

Looks good to me. The interior orange chromate is a tad off…must have been field applied.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
If you apply plain old Vaseline or any petroliom jelly… to the inside of it and the sides of the shape you cut out… It will last for two weeks or so…
Wow, that’s cool, Warlock. Didn’t know that. Even in the sometimes hot Texas heat I wonder? That seems to be our worst enemy in S. Texas. It won’t usually stay cool till later in November.

Hey
Did you get that pattern off swanny’s website?
Hm. The paint job looks great, but it’s a bit flat. Maybe next time you might consider pre- or post-shading a few panel lines.
Speaking of panel lines, I hear that kit’s are a doozy. Extremely deep, trench-like, and inconsistent. You did a good job with what you had!
Very nice work!
If you think the panel lines were too big, you should see the trailing edges. I thought about sanding them down and then rescribing the lost detail, but no one should notice.
How did you get the afterburn effect in the first shot looks great. Shame that the photos are dark can’t quite makw out the detail but i’m sure that your detailing is your usual standard.

NICE kit. What scale is that? Can you tell me what problems you had while building the kit. I think my local HS is having a sale and I should be able to pick one up this week. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t know about the Sout Texas heat 60, but I do know in the North Carolina heat and humidity I had one about last 2 weeks… ( kids got a little anxios to carve them). As long as you keep them gooped up with the Vasaline.
