I’ve just recieved a 1/32 scale Avenger from Trumpeter.Looking at the directions I found no list for painting.There is numbers next to the part but no reference list for number to color .Is there a place where I can get a chart for the paint number to color.

I’m not sure what you mean by “list for painting.” Do they list colors by name but not manufacturer number? If so, Urban Fredriksson’s color charts at the IPMS Stockholm Website gives a good cross reference of colors by manufacturer and color name.

If you’re looking for the Navy’s color guidelines, the best source is
The Official Monogram US Navy and Marine Corps Aircraft Color Guide, Volume 2, 1940-1949.
It’s out of print but you might find it at the library. It lists the color standards used, broken down by dates and theatres (the Atlantic fleet used different colors on their Avengers than the Pacific fleet, depending on the date) I’m lucky enough to have the complete 4-volume set, and would be happy to look it up for you. Please let me know. I have a friend with the kit; maybe he’ll let me see the instruction sheet so I have a better idea what you need.
