These two photos were taken during a break while waiting for some some paint to dry on some model parts.
These are a couple of nightfighters built a while (years) back.
One plane is the BV 215 three seat jet nightfighter from a Special Hobby kit, and the other plane is the very old Revell kit of the Bf 110 G-4.
The BV 215 was the most difficult kit I have ever built, a huge amount of carving, sanding, putty, sanding, priming, and more sanding were needed to build this thing but I am pleased with the result.
I really look forward to photographing some of the new models I have on my build pile (if I ever get any built) they are going to look good on the photobase. Can’t decide what I will build after the photobase is done, maybe the Hasegawa 1/48 K-4 or Tamiya Fw 190 F-8. Don’t know yet.
I did not take anymore pics of the BV 215 today, but next time I take more pics I will shoot more photos of it. Watch this forum in a week or two.
Both models are painted freehand with a Badger 150 with the finehead assembly, paints used are ModelMaster enamels.
I forgot to mention these planes are 1/72 scale.
Late last year I bought a Babger 100 G gravity feed airbrush and it sprays extremely fine and narrow spray patterns, if you like painting WWII German aircraft this airbrush is for you!
I like these set of pics much better than the Ta 154 pics, if the weather is good next weekend I will post a couple more pics. I need to start making new airplanes, all but a couple have been photographed!
I have always liked those German nightfighters and have several in my build pile, three 1/48 Bf 110s, two more 1/72 scale Bf 110s, two He 219s, a Me 1101 nightfighter, Me 262 three seater, Me 262 two seater, Ar 234, and two Ar 240s.
Now if I had the time to build them all!
Yep, three seater Me 262 high speed version with the engines in the wing roots and more wing sweep, also radar enclosed within the nose cone.
Special Hobby kit #72006, I think it is out of production now as well as the BV 215. I want to build at least one more BV 215 and paint it black lower surfaces with RLM 81 and 82 scribble uppersurfaces.
The Ta 154 is not in the pictures in this thread, a few days ago I posted some test photos of my Ta 154. If you interested in seeing this model you might have to go back a couple of pages and look for ‘‘Ta 154 Dayfighter’’.
