Visually, what is the difference between a 80 hp Le Rhöne 9C (Nieuport 11) and a 110 hp Le Rhône 9J (Nieport 16)?? If you have pics it would be of great help. Thanks.

Greetings jgeratic; On the 80hp LeRhône the push rods and air induction pipes were positioned in the front face of the engine cylinders. On the slightly larger 110 - 120hp LeRhône the push rods and air induction piupes were on the rear face or behind the cylinders. Note the German Oberursel Ur.II was a license built version of the LeRhône 120hp with a detachable prop shaft as it was attached to the face plate of the crankcase directly.
