Nice brush set at Michaels

Picked up this brush set at Michaels today.

Under the brand name ArtistLoft, pretty darn

good quality for the price point, under

$20 for the set, Testors wants $20 for

3 brushes ? These ArtistLoft ones are

for Acrylics should work great for my

Testors MMA paints. I like the pastic

handles as the brushes are in water

a lot for clean up, the paint on the wood

ones seems to fall off. I know you get what

you pay for and brushes are no diiferent.

But if you are on a modeling budget and

high end brushes are $29 and up each ?

No thank you, these will do just fine.

Good price. The failure mode will probably be shedding bristles onto the work, so just watch for that.

Michael’s has some good deals if you use the 50% off 1 item coupons in the weekly Sunday Newspaper. You’re always better off buying brushes at a real art store (which seem to be disappearing as fast as hobby shops) Pearl Paint used to be the best for high end brushes at bargain prices.
