newbie

Like to say hi to everyone. I’m retired and just starting to get back into modelling as a hobby for the many rainy days we get out here on the West Coast. I have never beem a real skills guy show and usually toss my projects in the basket from frustration. I’m hear to monitor the board and pick up a few tips from the pros here. My starting project is a Gates Lear Jet , which I’m going to do up in my own color scheme and style. My goal is to finish it as best I can and put it on display in my room… Bill.

Welcome to FSM Bill. Your goal of finishing the kit the best you can is the same goal as just about everyone here. Monitor to your hearts content and if you have any questions regarding that Lear Jet, fire it out in the Aircraft Forum. I’m sure someone will be able to help.
Enjoy the forums.

Hey Bill!!

Welcome to the club… Most of us struggle with our projects and we’re usually our own worst critics. Just keep building and have fun at it!!

Welcome to the forums, Bill.

I think we all have those frustration days but, you can’t let it get to you. We have to remember that, it’s all for enjoyment.

I have had a few kits that, I didn’t think were turning out so well. I used them to brush up on my weathering techniques. So, don’t get discouraged!

We are here to help [:)]

Don’t worry Bill. I think you’ll do a fine job. Ask anyone here what’s their best job. majority (including me) would say …“my last one”. I believe nobody does a poor job if he sets his heart and mind on it.

Anyway, welcome.

Bill if you are looking for tips and pointers from helpful people you have come to the right place, I have learnt great things from this Forum.

Bill welcome and this IS the place to improve your skills. Just remermber, build it the way YOU want it and have fun.
