Howdy! Welcome aboard! Tell us a bit about you.i’m supposedly a car guy, but haven’t finished one in a couple of years now. I primarily build 1/72 aircraft, an occasional piece of armor and the odd 1/700 ship.

Well Hi Kentucky, from Australia. Welcome to the forums and tell us what you build.

Hey! is this Dave, or Mike? Shared account? lol

Love the show, and follow along with your builds on the facebook!

As for your “modelling Fluids” content, I just picked up a couple of bottles, they are both awesome, 1776 Bourbon, and American Barrels…you should definitely give 'em a shot!

Well! Howdy Kaintuck!!

Welcome ta these here frums! I will be watchin watchya Build ,Hokay?

Hello, if you’re still around!!

I have a fellow RC tanker in Kentucky, who just happens to be the man I’d most like to be adopted by. He has at least a half dozen all metal 1/6 scale Armortek tanks he’s built, plus a 222 and a Famo. If you’re not up on Armortek, they make (arguably) the finest 1/6 RC tanks in the entire world. Huge attention to scale and detail, so if the real tank had 6 inches of armor the model will have one inch, or 1/6. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to put together the funds to get one yet but I’m looking hard at the new E8 that’s coming out this year. Just over 5 grand for just the basic tank kit, no motors, electronics, etc. I really love armortek tanks, but by the time you get a Tiger One completely finshed with all the bells and whistles you’ll have close to ten thousand dollars into it. But they’re just soooo danged cool!!

Anyway, looking forward to your builds, if you come back, that is. [:P]

Garylee;

Now you know why most, if not all of my ships are scratch built out of Scrap Lexan or Polycarbonate sheet. Short build time, Lots of correct detail and plenty of Money for electronics.

Thing is, most of the operating features are Not electronic or electric! I stole an idea from the Toy industry, Well, not quite Toys. Lindberg Models had a version of the " Blue Devil" U.S.S.Melvin Destroyer that was Battery Powered and all the movement was by cams tied to a gearbox from the single Motor.

I use that idea and it works well!

Welcome to the Forum, I an new here too a couple of days ago. Looking forward to seeing your builds. Staysafe Rob.
