New to FSM

Hello All,

Im new to FSM. Just recently retired from law enforcement and have taken up my old love of model building. My area of interest is commercial aviation.

My dad worked for Eastern Airlines and that’s what gave me my love of the airlines. Looking forward to any advise any can give. Thanks

Welcome to the forum “retired” and congratualtions on your retirement(this June will mark my 3rd year of retirement) and thank you for the service that you provided.(I was an EMT for a number of years) You’ll find a wealth of modeling knowledge and much assistance on this forum.

Welcome! Great to have another airliner enthusiest on the forums. About 10% of what I build are airliners/freight/commercial types. The rest are military aircraft, cars&bikes. Looking forward to seeing some of your builds.

Welcome aboard Retired. Sounds like we have a similar background from opposite sides of the country, having retired from being a deputy sheriff three years ago in March, and my father worked for TWA. [;)] Hope to see that you’ll be sharing your work with us on here.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you with us. Look forward to seeing your work.

My favorites are WWI & WWII planes followed by sailing ships, but I build whatever strikes my fancy at the time and my wallet says OK.

Great people here are very knowledgeable and ready to help with any and all questions/problems. Check out the Civil Airlines section of the Forums. Might be something there that interests you.

Stay Safe.

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the forum!

If you haven’t seen it yet, I think you’ll love this forum:

It’s dedicated to civil aviation and there are some great builds there that I think you’ll enjoy looking at. And I look forward to seeing your builds!

Best regards,

Brad
