Hello FSM, I’m new here, and recently returned to model building.
I have been building models again for about the last five months for the first time since I was a teenager, and kind of by accident. Previous resume includes some plastic air and ship kits when I was young, and some (Alot of) miniatures as a teenager, and a brief foray into wooden ships. This time I am focussing on 1/72 warbirds, and I aim to improve the quality of my finished product before doing somre armor, and maybe some larger scale stuff, if I deem myself worthy.
To this end, I have just acquired an airbrush, as my brush-fu is not the strongest - I am good at details, but not being consistent over large areas. hopefully airbrushing will help resolve this, once I learn my way around the thing. Right now I have a few projects in the works:
1/72 Airfix FW190 A8 - built, painted, awaiting some aftermarket decals
1/72 Academy JU 87G-1 Stuka - built, painted, awaiting aftermarket decals
1/72 Italieri MC202 Folgore - final touches
1/72 Hobby Boss BF 109G-2 - final touches. Rubbish kit I know, but it was cheap and quick to build as a first victim for my airbrush.
1/72 Italieri B-25G - On hold, pending nose weights and paint
1/72 Academy P-47 - On hold, waiting for paint.
1/72 Academy TBF (TBM?) Avenger - Just started…
This might seem like alot, but I have been on leave for a month, So I have been spending alot of time at my kitchen table workbench.
I hope to get some pictures up soon, and get some opinions on my work so I can suck all the knowledge out of you all.
