New stuff from the Spruce Goose!

I haven’t put much stuff up here lately (mainly from the fact I’ve lost myself in a new awesome computer game, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic), but I managed to tear myself away for a few H-4 Hughes Flying Boat updates!

I’ve added some shims around the new flight deck roof. These aren’t intended to be the final result, but simply serve as a base for a whole bunch of putty.

I was also able to make a master of the clear part of the windscreen. Not dead on 100% accurate, but close enough for my taste.

Now, despite the fact I asked for the assistance in vac-forming a clear canopy, I couldn’t resist the temtation to try and get a good example myself. Well, this isn’t it. This is about the 15th attempt I did, and the sidewalls are way too thin to make this one useable. It does give a pretty good indicator of what it will eventually look like, though.

I’ve also started the interior, but I can’t do much without any more sheet styrene. I should be picking that up in the next couple days.

Thanks for the look-see! [:D][tup]

Lucien,

A tip of the ol’ sombrero to you, my man! That is one awsome project you have going! I can’t wai to see your work on the flight deck as it progresses. Your current progress looks great, thanks for sharing!
