Yep…looks outstanding…a lost treasure from the 70s…
This is the HEMTT’s father (mother was the tanker version of the Goer). These saw action in VN mostly to carr ammunition. There is also a version with a boom crane mounted, again similar to the HEMTT.

memories of my time in germany in the late '70s. wasn’t that impressed with the cargo version but the tanker carried 1200 gallons of diesel and towed a 600gal mogas trailer. made it easier refueling a tank company.
You are right about the price Pawel. Modelbau are so expensive I don’t bother looking at their models. I definitely can’t afford them anyway.
I just ordered one and a Gama goat from Ironshipwrights, they said I should have it by Tuesday.
I was just about to order one with the goat from the German company but their prices because of the dollar was too high. I am still going to order a pair or 3 of their trailers.
I also got a M706/V100 Airforce open top from Azimut a while ago. There’s stuff out there but hard to find and expensive. So many things are not carried in the USA due to the conversion rates.
I even found a place that makes the correct sprocket for the M48A3. Now I have to get a bunch of them and they’re about $20 a set for a model that cost about the same, crazy!!!
I will say this as far as the Goats. I have built the Ironshipwright version and seen the German company’s version. The Ironshipwright version is decent, but…no canvas or bows for the cab or trailer. While the German version has a canvas for the cab. Also the Ironshipwright instructions totally inhale. see my build log.

It would appear the the German company GOER is also closer to correct as it has the proper windshield supports and canvas for the cab. Just my opinion
Since I am in no rush, I may wait for a change in the $ vs Euro

I saw that too. I hope it’s not going to be an issue, I would be very disappointed. I usually don’t follow directions anyway, I use photos that I print out of each section I am doing. Some parts need instructions like the Ontos road wheels, that was crazy. That’s why I put that one away for another time, the turret looked like a nightmare.
The great thing about doing Vietnam modeling is that they very rarely had their vehicles the same as the way the Army/Marines/whatever wanted them. The one I drove in Germany had nothing over the rear compartment. I only drove it once on post, what a dog. The GOERs I see from NAM didn’t have the tops on and were in the MUD.
So I’ll look at pictures from Nam and see what I can do. The way things are going I don’t think the dollar will ever get in better shape compared to the Euro, if it stays the same I would be happy. I remember I was getting 4 marks to the dollar when I was there and 3 when I left in 1982 or so. Everybody had to move back on post.
If I am not happy with the kits he will know very quickly but I’m not that picky especially about a vehicle that will be in diorama and probably covered in red mud. I’ll probably use both in some sort of REMF dio, with the gear in the rear thing…LOL. Vietnam was so muddy and dirty to me it’s about the artistic aspect over correctness. Yes I would rather have every detail 100% correct but I am way more into making an artistic statement. If it were about making something like the M108 for an Army unit I would want it to be correct and museum quality. But I’m more into action dioramas, taking a time in a sort of snapshot and making it look like that. A picture, taking a picture and making it come alive in a diorama that’s what it’s about for me, not just the model. That’s why I am disappointed with the German M55’s lack of interior, all the Vietnam pix I see were Marines ready for a fire mission. The Marines used the M55 and M53 for a short time in Nam.
I think if I were going to do a museum piece I would have gotten the German models and the extra few bucks so be it. If I need some help with the goat I will let you know. I love what you did with it as with all your work.

Yes they are I bought their M 728CEV conversion for the M728 CEV model which they forgot to put the new gun and just about everything else on…LOL. I don’t they sell that anymore as the M728 CEV.
But they are a good company and ship very fast, too bad the currency rate is so poor. I’m still going to order a few trailers from them when they get back, they are on vacation last time I looked.
I think I’ll get 2 m105 trailers and a M149 for a Vietnam rear with the gear dio and the Goat and GOER. The M105 was pulled along a lot by M577s going to the field. They used to add plates or something(I have to research this) to make the tire track wider to match the M577 as not to detonate mines.
I got the Goer and it’s pretty big and the goat to in today’s mail from modelshipwrights. They now have very good instructions by the way. The picture on the goat shows a cover but I think that’s up to you to make I’m going to contact them about that. A lot of resin parts.
