This may be old news, but I just saw the release notice on the Academy Site. Looks great in the pics & should fill a small void in the 1/72 scale Mustang collection. Comes with Operation Torch markings. Italeri released a version of this aircraft a while back, but it wasn’t a very good representation. Also see a new 1/48 kit of the F-16C Falcon announced, but I suspect this may be a re-issue.
Just a word of warning , I have built many of Academys 1/72 aircraft and I find that their decals are very thick and stubborn even when using decal solvents!
I agree, the decals in most Academy kits are poor quality. But the moldings in their recent releases have been excellent. I usually go with aftermarket decals anyway, as few kits over the quality or specific markings I want.
