New Projects from the Duke

Hey all!

I have gotten started on more projects, all the while working on some others that I’ve been building.

I’ll start with some of the projects I’ve been working on. I had built this 1/72 scale Universal Carrier about 22 years ago. I finally got around to painting it. It now needs a few details touched up and she’ll be ready for decals:

My 1/72 scale Challenger II has been coming along. I got the camo pattern on it now, and she’s about ready for clearcoat and decals:

Next, I had started this 1/72 scale Revell/Germany Bradley some months ago and had stopped because the bushmaster cannon broke in half and flew into Oblivion. After having gotten a Dragon Bradley, I used the barrel from that kit to finish building the Revell/Germany kit. I just finished painting the camo pattern on it:

Now it is ready for the tracks to be installed, a coat of Future, decals and finishing up.

Now for two of my newest projects.

This is the Dragon 1/72 scale Bergetiger. I got most of the construction done so far. All I need to do is add the wire for the crane and the take up reel on the back of the turret. Then the tracks and after that, find out how I want to finish painting it. The instructions just show a solid pale yellow color like it has right now. I may just leave it that way.

Next I also started a 1/72 scale Trumpeter Russian ZiL 157 fuel truck. This shows the three main assemblies (chassis, cab, tank) all test fit together to see how it is looking:

That is what I’ve got going so far, I’ll keep everyone posted on my progress.

Great as usual Mr. Maddog. I haven’t seen a pic of the 1/72 Dragon Bergetiger until now thats cool. Wow it already has the zim. I would paint it a little dartker though with either plain gray or dunkelgelb (yellow/gold). It’ll be fine any way you do it though.

Now with the addition of these 5, how much closer are you to the big 1K???

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your comments. They keep me motivated to do well.

I-beam, I think I will see what happens with the Bergetiger when I give it a wash. With all that zim, it will hold a lot of wash, so it may darken quite nicely on it’s own. If that doesn’t work, I’ll hit it with a new coat of something darker.

As for how much closer I am to 1000, well, I think these will bring me up to 962, if my count is correct. Oooo! getting closer!
