I lost my good X-acto plane awhile ago. That model seems to have been dropped and replaced by a plastic bodied plane, which I find not so good. So I was looking for a better plane. I noticed too, that the plastic bodied plane is only available now as part of a set, not seperately.
After a google search for modeler’s plane with no luck, I tried miniature plane and found one on Amazon. Sent for it, and tried it, and it works fine.

Sorry about the poor picture. No brand name on the package, only a logo with SE on it. The model number on the packaging is TP70300.
Don ;
I got a plane from a Micro-Scale Catalogue .It was metal , but it was some years back . T.B.
Micro Mark has one. All steel. Looks like the Xacto/Stanley #101P (13-101A0, but probably from China or someplace. Don, yours looks like it’s cast metal? Should have a good “feel” in your hand.

For the affluent modeler (not me) here’s a jewel of a block plane. This brand is well known among woodworkers who prize high quality hand tools.

Wow, lots of quality stuff in the tool catalog, for modelers and woodworkers with deep pockets, but very good quality. EJ
