Does anyone know how the newly released 1/72 Memphis Belle by Academy is? Also, any suggestions or helpful tips on completing a 1/72 scale B-17 would be most appreciated.

Iam waiting for the Panda 1/32 B-17. Squadron had a resin/fiberglass 1/32 scale WWII German u-boat ! 6-7ft. 1800.00 Whew!
If it’s the one they put out in 2000 (kit 2188), it’s pretty good for the scale. There’s not alot of interior detail on it, but overall, not too bad. Fit has been pretty good, and exterior detail has been quite nice, and even has recessed panel lines. For a final grade, I’d give it a B.

so in general which kit is best for you guys (1/72)?
In 1/72 I’d go with Academy’s B-17 line. The fit is good and panel lines are nice. And if nothing else Academy always has great box art.
Woah, with the two I have built, I found this kit horrible. The instructions are unclear on what parts you should use where, as many of the optonial parts look like the correct ones, but caues a half inch gap when the fusalage is put togheter. I didn’t like the fit with the fusalage or wings. all the turrets fell off, some into the model, and the decals peeled up and fell off. I really don’t like this kit, or Acadmey’s B-29, or anything made by Testors, but that’s off subject.
Hey!, by the way does anyone out there know when is this gonna happen? i just can wait to see that B-17 in a 1/32 scale! will be awesome!! [:D]
