New kit releases spotted!!!

OK…now all the Germaholics will be disappointed as we finally have some US equipment releases.

First I have spotted my first Trumpter M198 Towed Howitzer for sale. It looks like that will run in the $40+ range with shipping.

Also saw the first US vendor with the new Hobby Boss AAVP7A1 (not the EEAK kit). That was running in the $60+ range with shipping.

They are just out so the prices are slightly inflated but in these tough times I would not expect them to drop too much.

As for the German stuff…I didn’t check [swg]

Yes, I saw the AAV at a LHS yesterday, but it was not opened for examination. Hopefully one will be soon… I heard it has an interior…

Thanks for the heads up on the 198… Still a skoshi-bit outta range, but I’ll track it… Might be able to get my “tame” Hobby Lobby manager talked into it, then grab a coupon…

Great news. Can’t wait to get both. Here is teh Hobby Boss AAVP7A1 in progress at Armorama. It does have a full interior. It looks awsome.

Wow! no wonder it is costing over $60! That was the one thing about the Tamiya kit I was unhappy about… no interior! Glad to see HobbyBoss grabbed the bull by the horns here!

As usual,you did a great job.I just am curious as to your [ and other builders ] style of buiding.The interior ,for example.There are so many individual items that are not going to be painted the main color,would’t it have been easier to have left those off & painted them seperately ? I’d think picking them out now ,like the fire extinguisher & it’s securing band,will be a pain in the neck.I paint paint ancillary items not of the main scheme on ther own.Do you have a way to get around or simplify the detail painting with everything already attached ? Its not my build. I agree with you though. I leave off all the smaller detail items and paint them seperately myself too.
