There have been several posts lately asking for diorama subjects for crashed aircaft or aircraft in unusual circumstances. Maybe someone would like to do a dio with this for a subject. The A-4 Skyhawk seems to have a problem!
edit 10:30 PM duckman, this A-4 is undergoing major maintenance with landing gear doors and assorted other panels removed. The tail is removed to get the engine out.

ooooooooooooooooooooo looks like someone pulled out its landing gear and i went thump! wait a minute dont most planes have empanage’s?!!

Is it possible that the reason it went “THUMP!” is because the tail & engine was out and the bird wasn’t chained down properly? I don’t know much about A-4, other than we practiced troubleshooting on 'em in Pensacola. The ones there were written off ( along w/ the AE school building!) during the last hurricane there. - Calvin
