Hi all , This is what Scalemodellingnow online mag have just sent me to build. It looks like a prehistoric monster. On opening the box it looks like a nice kit . I will be starting it shortly when i finnich the Schleppers tracks.
Next one i said i would like to build is this baby. Looks great cant wait to do that.
Yes its great to get the free kits but its a lot of work to do the review, build the thing and do an indepth wright up on it in the shortest time you can. Its no so good if you dont like the model you are doing that makes things a bit of a drag. Also my own builds suffer to the limit of little to no production. The Flakpanther will be a joy though if they send that through.
The FlakPanther interests me as whilst I’ve been building my current WIP (Dragon Panther G) I’ve decided to build a few Panther variants. I’ve got a Jagdpanther on order with my LHS for my next WIP.
Definitely can sympathize with you on that front Andy. On the surface the concept of getting “free” kits sounds great but there’s always the necessary strings attached in regards to working towards a deadline and doing it for someone else vs. just building for yourself. So long as you can keep a balance and still enjoy the process it’s worth it…but it’s all too easy for it to just become another “job” vs. a “hobby”. [;)]
Look forward to seeing what you do with the Panther Flakvierling! [Y]
Very cool Andy—both kits build-up really well from what I’ve seen—I don’t know if you saw Mark Simmon’s build of that Flak IV but it was superb-----I’m building the M2A1 right now-so far a killer kit
