Recently I have seen pics of CH-47s sporting a lighter color on combat operations in SWA.
This pic shows it pretty well. Is it a new color or just very weathered old school helo drab 34031?
To my knowledge, this color was only used on the F models. They are churning out M model -60’s in the familiar helo drab. AFIK, the CH-47F is the only US Army aircraft to use this color.
The F model is the only army aircraft in this new color, but the Army is thinking of going back to the familiar drab because this new color is more easily seen during high illumination.

this looks like an Israeli color. What is the FS #?
The only number I can find is FS 34201
IIRC, is that number the same as SAC Bomber Tan?
