Needle Juice

To you people that use needle juice, where do you get it from?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Hey Dean, you can order it online at dixieart.com, it’s called Regdab Needle Juice and it sells for $3.35 a bottle. from the main page click on airbrushes, then Badger Main, then scroll down towards the bottom and it’s right before you get to the end of the page.

Art supply stores or any place that carries a lot of airbrush accessories. Mine is made by Medea and it seems to work fine. Makes things a good bit smoother.

Tom,

Do you know why they named it Regdab? Just curious. [:D]

Mike

hmmm… besides it being badger spelt backwards no…

Haha. That’s it! [;)]
Some people don’t realize that, and neither did I the first time I saw it.
I asked Ken about the name and he said it was thought up by an overpayed marketer that used to work for Badger. He now works for Iwata. [:D]

Mike

Lol! I thought it was gonna mean something else! Yeah I have been around a few of those ‘overpaid marketing’ guys… wish I could make their money for sitting around coming up with those “ideas”… maybe I’ll send Badger a letter about the Woodtek Azbak model 2000 and see if they bite…

Wahahah is there anything that can be substituted, vaseline, etc?

sicko… [:o)]

no I’m serious. I don’t wanna pay $10 shipping, and $10 customs just for a $3 bottle of needle juice or regdab

Yes there is a perfect substitute for the expensive oil but no one listens to me as I’m not in the click. So ignore my addition to this thread when I tell you that elbategev oil will work just as well as the very expensive airbrush oils.

where do you get that/ read about it?

Do a Google search for elbategev, and you get:

Wow… 98.4$ for some nirtxedotlam tcartxe tsaey. Can’t beat that.

What he was talking about is v e g e t a b l e oil

Ryan,

Some people used to use Vasoline on the needle and I would imagine some still do. Just be careful and use a very light amount as too much could affect the paint.
The main advantage to Needle Juice and Super Lube is that they contain Teflon, I believe, though I am not sure. It lasts quite a while though and the other oils I don’t think will.

Also remember that although some would consider Needle Juice and Super Lube as being “too expensive for oil” a tube will last you for many years, so it is very cheap in the long run.

Mike

::SWWWooooosh:: did ya see that??? it went right over my head!!! haha

alltooflat.com/elgoog a mirrered google: everything is backwards.

mike, I don’t justify paying almost 25 bucks for a little can of regdab. 3 for the actual merchandice, 7 s&h, 5 customs, and 10 taxes.

that means you can use it as an excuse to buy more stuff with it to justify shipping… I do it all the time, my wife falls for it… haha she doesn’t mind… but if all I need is X I think ahead to anything else needed or might be needed in coming builds… and get it ahead of time to cover the cost of shipping better…

Ryan,

Do they charge the customs and taxes on all packages sent to Canada or is it just from retailers?
There has to be a store in Canada that sells Medea Super Lube or Badger Needle Juice.

Mike

mike: it’s a $5 base and almost 20% taxes, last time I recieved a package from the us. in adition to the $7 shipping I paid for ‘shipping’

Teflon spray used to spray kitchen pans to keep food from sticking will do it . Put some on a paper towel and wipe the needle with it All you are doing is trying to keep paint from sticking to the needle
