I just bicked up a Tamiya Enterprise and I know someone makes 1 /350 scale accessory aircraft (besides Tamiya). I’ve seen them but can’t remember where. I’m specifically looking for FA-18 Hornets or Super Hornets.
Anybody know who the manufacturer is? They come 2 to a box and are in kit form.
Wait for a couple more months and you can buy the Trumpeter aircraft for the Nimitz…

Well I took the plunge and I’m taking a “respit” from THE DARK SIDE" by embarking on this Enterprise build. I think I just bought a 6’ Subway for lunch! LOL! After reading most of Bert Kinzey’s review of the Tamiya kit review in Squadron’s Vol.39, I will probably need a lot more than planes to spiff this build up.
I would really appreciate any tips or recomendations the folks around here have as to PE details, etc.
I can easily see this taking a month or two to get this one out of drydock.
I’ve been working on mine since January. So far,
The hull is painted,
The island is built with lights installed and PE attached.
80 aircraft are built, with PE attached,
A scratchbuilt hanger deck is installed, with lighting.
The hangar deck walls are detailed with scratchbuilt items and handpainted murals on the fire doors and walls.
The flight deck has been masked and hand painted.
The hanger deck is painted with all tie down spots hand painted.
Over head stowage racks are being installed as wells as hose reels.
PE jack stands are finished and cargo pallats are being built.
AND I’VE STILL GOT LOTS TO DO !
You’re about 100 leagues ahead of me Lobos. I ordered the Gold Metal PE set, sailors and air wing decals this afternoon. I painted the upper hull, waterline stripe, deck, and tower over the weekend. This is my 1st 1/350 ship build so I’m not setting my sights so high that I’ll be disappointed with the results. The last ship modelling I did was 20 years agoin 1/700! I picked up the MINIHOBBY Ticonderoga today as a practice ship. It doesn’t look nearly as bad as some others have explained to me. I think I can get the Enterprise on the shelf before the Nimitz hits later this year.
