Need Recomendations For T 34/85 kit

What would be the best kit in terms of accuracy and fit in 1:48 or 1:35 renditions of the T-34/85?

Any suggestions are much appreciated , thanks for your time.

Best Regards , Ralph

In 1/35 scale, Dragon’s line of T-34s are the best on the market.

Hobby Boss’ 1/48 T-34 series has been flying off the shelves – they are super sweet!

The Dragon T-34/85 is the best thing in 1/35. I’d wait until you can get a hold of their re-released series. It comes with an aluminum barell and PE parts.

I second zoran’s vote on the DML T34/85. The “Premium” kit no. 6319 has been released and the PMMS reviews give it high marks for improvements over the older #6066 kit.

I read that the pe screen doens’t fit on the rear deck.

Thanks for the advice.

The Hobby Boss T 34/85 is out of stock. They do appear to have some Sherman tanks in stock with several models to select from. This could also be a good build.

I will also try to find the Dragon line of t 34/85

Thanks

Greatmodels has the Premium in stock for $31.95

I saw that as well, a real shame considering…maybe a math error, poor calibration on the micrometer, or just plain oversight…but I think it’s offset by the other goodies that are accurate in the kit. I’m waiting for mine to come in on Nov. 10th before GM ships it (at least that’s what my order page says [:D]).

Does seem like a silly oversight, but at the same time I don’t think it’ll be something that will be impossible to repair.

For that one only options are go with the kit part or get a replacement PE set from an AM supplier. The dimensions/fit are so far out of whack that the kit supplied PE screen for that is unusable.

The Hobbyboss 1/48 kit is superb - essentially it’s the Trumpeter 1/16 kit, with full interior detail, scaled down. By contrast, their 1/48 Shermans are oversimplified and distinctly average. They do, OTOH, have boxed-in sponsons and a plastic, as opposed to die-cast, lower hull…

Cheers,

Chris.

Nice thing about Dragon’s line of T-34/85 kits is that they have WW2, Korean War and Vietnam War era kits. The NVA T-34/85 even contains markings for the war in Angola.
