Need pics!

Modelers, I’m sorry for doing this, but I’m in need of more pics of the following aircraft. They can either be from the net or from someone’s personal collection. The aircraft is an F-89J of the 59th FIS cicrca 1958 or so, Goose Bay, Air Force Base. If anyone has any pics at all, please let me know! This is all I can find and I need something of greater res.


In addition, I need pics of an A-6E of VA-205. This would be the aircraft that was once (or maybe still is) on display outside of NAS Atlanta. There are a few pics of this aircraft on the net but, again, nothing of good quality.

i reckon your best bet is to speak (very nicely, ofcourse![:p]) to blackwolf3945…he seems to be the man for aircraft ppics around here…

Couldn’t find any others on the F-89 but here are some on the A-6.

Ok, where’d you guys get the pics??? wibhi2, the only thing the F-89 is missing is the patch on the tail. Other than that, that’s it! Please, tell me where you got it and if it’s avaliable in higher res!!

Philp, same with yours. I’ve been to the link you’ve posted and those pics are too low in res. However, the “sample” pic you have…

I painted it in Photoshop on a scanned image of an f-89D using your photos as reference. I went looking for the tail badge, but couldn’t find what it looked like. I can do it at any resolution - I also would redo the image since that one was just a quick test

Nice job wibhi2. Might have to give you some data on some small airforce planes.

Dana, for the A-6 info, just did a Google search for VA-205. Click on the Images tab and then rolled through them.

With that, let me ask the of the forum here. If I decide to do this, can I expect good decals like this in 1/48th from a regular ink jet? What would be the min resolution I’d want from an ink jet? 1400 x 1400?
