I’m looking for the Assembly/Painting Instructions for the Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf H 1/35 Scale Kit (#154A). I checked Hobby Search but they don’t have this kit in their listing. Does anyone know of a similar source or someone with this particular set of instructions?
He means Tamiya 35054, the old, ex-motorized Pz IV H, not the retooled ones. I used to have these instructions in a drawer but cleared them out last spring cleaning. Sorry. Maybe download the Brummbar or StuG IV directions for the lower hull assembly?
#154 (later 35054) is the older version of the Pz IV Ausf.H kit from the '70’s which was superseded by the kit Mikey has linked above and has not been generally available for quite some time.
EDIT: The instructions for Academy’s Pz.IV Ausf.H #1327 may help, should you be unable to obtain the original Tamiya instructions - there are a couple of parts in different places on the sprues, but it’s otherwise identical. The colour scheme may vary slightly though.
Honestly if he had the Academy Panzer IV Ausf H he would have the instuctions he needed as the Academy kit is the exact copy of the 1970’s issue of the Tamiya kit.
Yep, just offering an alternate source to look for is all, as the Tamiya kit has been off the market for some 20 years or so, whereas the Academy one is still generally available.
Honestly Tamiya needs to retool the Panzer IV Ausf D like they did the Ausf H and Ausf J because the only thing you can model that kit (the original 1970’s kit) as it is with the 40cm track and sprocket is the upgunned Ausf D.
I’ve got a 50% solution. I have the CMK bergepanzer IV which is the old Tamiya kit minus the turret. The instructions take you through the hull construction and have some modifications due to the variant.
