Need help with tamiya

I have a 20mm flakvierling 38 but all I have included is the japanese instruction. Is there a website with English instruction so I know what color to use and option on either firing or towed position.

look here

Thanks. Only thing is it does not list the colors even the Tamiya color codes to be used on parts of the artillery.

I think the color call outs are on the back of the box. I have that same kit in my stash and will have a look at it after work

I scanned the English instructions, hope it helps [:)].

On the first page, note that the connecting arm for the gunsight is articulated so it moves with the guns when elevated (see inset at the bottom left of the first page) The instructions tell you to carefully melt the ends of the mounting pins using the old “hot screwdriver” method.

This image at the link that I posted has the color call outs off of the box rear

Thanks all for the help. Mine somehow only comes with Japanese. That’s the first time I’ve seen instruction on melting a part. Won’t a glue do the job as well?

the hot melt allows the part to pivot whereas glue would give you a permanent bond and immovable. Just heat the rod portion slightly to “mushroom” the end to keep the parts from separating.

It has been common in armor modeling going back 60+ years to attach vinyl tracks which could not be glued. Many kits still require hot melt to join tracks today, virtually every older Tamiya kit and all Zvezda, Italeri and most Trumpeter kits to name a few.
