Need help with pro street dragster project

I am building several prostreet dragsters, sort of a Pinks All Out type of thing. One is a kit right out of the box but the other is a conversion. I need to know how tub out a rear end and do it right.

its tough, and if i may suggest that you look into magazines or perhaps online research of how the actual process is accomplished.good luck and do your work slowly.and keep photos posted.

Modelbuilder,

What car are you planning on tubbing? The reason I ask is that Monogram has re-released a couple of their pro-stock kits from the eighties and it might be easier to use the back half (or the whole chassis) of one of those chassis than scratching. If you’ve got or want to start from scratch, let me check my archives and see if I’ve got some articles that will help. If not we’ll see what we can work out. Let me know. Also some pics of the real thing you’re basing your build on would help.

i agree with lewbud, use a donor chassis if you can. heres a link i hope helps, http://www.straightlinemodeler.org/tips.html
