need help with a wolf in sheepskin

The reason the T34s were built to look like tigers is because there is only 1 fully functional tiger left in the world[me thinks].But there alot still in musiems

The Tiger resides in Bovington, England. The T-34/Tiger has starred in a few movies: Kelley’s Heroes, Saving Private Ryan, and Bands of Brothers (I think there was one in there)

ya your right it’s an early version you can watch videos of it on youtube

i was pretty sure the commander bull talked to was in a firefly if not a sherman. there was a cromwell behind it in the column n was i think the second tank that got blew up…

wow, interesting post huh? i’m still determined to do something like that. i just have to find the right subject to do it with. historically correct, and lots of lots of info. with patience comes great things, right? i’ll have time to think about it and reasearch it while i finish up my last couple of kits left on the backburner.

Not a Firefly. One Sherman you see in the series is an ex Montreal Locomotive works M4A1 “Grizzly” Note the CDP tracks and sprockets. They were ex-Portuguese tanks, I believe. Canada sold their M4A1s (which were used in training in Canada) to them after the war and therefore they survived and collectors got them.

The other sherman is some other 75mm gun tank, I believe – I don’t recall its particulars. I don’t recall seeing any long-gun Shermans in the series. I could be wrong.

t26e4 you are right and the second tank in the collum is a cromwell… the german tank hiding behind the hous is a t34 but build to represend a tiger.

ohw and he couldn’t fire through the house because he was under order not make unnessesary destruction of private property (hope i got the spelling right).

afther the attack begins there is a jagdpanther on a t55 chassis i believe and a stug 3 on a brittish apc chassis

in the evening they are joined by a marder 3 if remember correctly

beautifull series

The Kingtiger in Saumur in France is also operational. Tamiya recorded the sound of its engine to use in their 1/16 RC tigers.

Funny though that they go to the extend of makeing a T-34 look like a Tiger I, but instead of makeing it look like a mid or late production which would be correct for normandy they always make it look like an early production with feifel filters and the early barrel shaped cupola … oh well atleast it resembles a Tiger.
