Guys, I need some help.
I want to buy hasegawa kits directly from Japan as not all that’s available from their web-site is available here in Ireland and when it is available, it costs a fortune.
I cannot access www.hjl.com web-site. I get a dns error or page-cannot-be-displayed-error, so I can’t even contact them to arrange this or see what’s available etc, but I can access other Japanese sites, such as Hasegawa’s Japanese language version of their site. Which is cool as my wife is Japanese and she can translate for me.
So, is there anyone willing to help? I’d send the money for the kit and postage and return the favour when and if anyone needed kits from Europe.
Liam
If you get a DNS error it is most likely that your ISP’s DNS server is out of sync, try to get to the site via google or similar rather than a direct acces via your booksmarks.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies:
Pixilater: yes, that’s the site I meant. neither version works![:(!]
Madmodelfactory: the www.hlj.com does not work for me, even i nthe google search. The other two work just fine.
I have no idea why this is happening, but the only hobby site that originates from Japan that I cannot link to is HobbyLink Japan. [V]
Just checked out the Rainbowten site. If they can deliver as they say they can, then waahoo!! Their tamiya products work out at HALF the price…but I guess the postage will bump that up a bit!!
Example?
The Tamiya 1/48 A-10 Thunderbolt from Rainbowten is the eqivalent of 20.00 euro.
In ireland, right now in my local hobby shop, they are selling this kit for 40.00 euro which is 5,400 yen or thereabouts.
Big difference. However I note that their european models, revell, airfix, etc, are all more expensive to you, but are very cheap for me!!!
The real cream on the cake is that they will send Gunze paints!!! I cannot get these here in Ireland at all!!
The kit prices for Rainbow 10, HLJ and Aoshima will be the same or atleast very similar as they are charging the recommendet list-price (max price that the kit can sell for in Japan).
Honestly surprised that you cannot access HLJ, I prefer dealing with them(bigger stock, pics of items and better online ordering system) over Rainbow 10. Service is very good on both sites.
And, yeah, non-japanese goods will be pricey from either of them. Gunze paints are great.
Maybe shoot an E-mail off to your ISP and ask them why you cannot access Hobby Link Japan and if they can maybe fix it, there is a chance that they might be blocking sites from certain localities.

Also check your Web browser and it’s settings maybe you got things like javascript or similar deactivated or your browser is too old or similar.
