Need help locating pics for Berg Tiger P

Guys I’m tring to find pics of the Porsche Berg Tiger. So far I’ve found two this one and a side view of the same veh.

Bergetiger(P)

If anybody knows were I can get some more it would be a big help.

Using Google Image serge for “Bergetiger P”, came up with this additional one, but that’s it:

Not too many were built so photos aren’t that common of them. The one you show in your post is the most common one found on the 'net when the vehicle is discussed.

Bill thanks. What I’m really trying to find out is of the three made did any have the remote Mg mounted on top and zimm. The DML kit shows one in Italy with both.

Now that’s an interesting situation…the Rundumfeurer MG mount wasn’t introduced until July-August 1944 on StuG production and the Bergepanzer Ps were all built in 1943 after Kursk as part of the “Ferdinand-to-Elefant” conversion, so having them fited with it would have to be a post-production upgrade. I wasn’t aware they were fitted with them but I’m by no means a Berge expert. I do know that all Bergepanzer Ps had zimmerit throughout their lifespan.

I’ve got the photo that confirms DML’s drawing, but I can’t post it right now due to problems with my photo host.

Finally…

Kykeon…THANK YOU!!! I thought I might have to put this build on hold for a little while but once again this site has proven to be the best of the best.

Bill thanks to you also just one question…who’s towing who in that pic??

You ask a very important question…because there’s clearly three vehicles involved…the Bergepanzer P is in the middle with tow cables hooked up to the Elefant in front and to some other vehicle in the rear! [(-D]

The whole reason the Bergepanzer P were made was due to the heavy weight of the Ferdie/Elefant and the fact that it took 3 FAMOs together to tow just 1 of them. Sometimes even the rescuers need rescuing. [;)]

3 Famos? That must have been going downhill. [;)]

I have a photo showing 5 Famos towing a single Ferdi.

What a beast.

You’re right Kykeon, 3 was the “standard” for a Tiger 1 towing arrangement vs. the Ferdis, only the Germans could create such massive beasts and not take into account a way to retrieve them when they got stuck. [(-D]
