I can’t seem to find any kits of the CF-101 Voodoo, does anyone know who makes one?

I think Monogram used to have a 1/48 two seater with Canadian markings. I am not sure what the differences between that and the US version are.

Monogram did one a few years back, 1/48 with the Lynx decals and raised panel lines but it is out of production – keep an eye on e-bay and you will see them pop up from time to time. If you are patient you should be able to pick one up for $10 to $15. It is the same kit as all the other Monogram F-101s just has the Canadian decals. Now there are plenty of aftermarket Canadian 101 decals you could pick up if you wanted to get the standard release and discard the kit markings.
There was a post a year or so back about the differences between the USAF voodoos and the CF-101s. There is also a plethora of web sites regarding the CF-101s so do a google search. There are a number of minor differences between the US and CF Voodoos. As luck would have it I finished my CF-101 “Hawk One” several months before the post. DRAT! Other than the raised panel lines the Monogram kit is very nice and fits together well without a lot of putty work. If you cannot find one on E-bay I’m sure Revell-Monogram will rerelease the kit sooner or latrer. They always do!
The only difference with the Canadian Voodoos I can think of off the top of my head is the big spot light on the left side bellow the canopy, similar as the CF-18s, that and the the guy behind the controls ends his sentences with Eh.
Revell-Germany has a 1/72 F-101B Voodoo with both US and Canada decals on it. The Canadian decal shows a No 409 Sqn. stationed in Comox British Columbia. I have this. Although i have not built yet, judging from the part (fine recessed lines, cockpit involves: tub, 3-piece seat, controls sticks, and instrumental panel with decals) I guess it will be a potential joy to build. Interesting thing is that the color instruction indicates that the Canadian Voodoo is painted silver (netural finished?) but some pictures I saw, they are painted in light grey.

I have found a few on Ebay right now, and have bid on one. I am looking to do it in the RCAF 410 “Cougars” scheme (like any other Canadian Voodoo’s cept with 410 on it) and don’t believe it will be hard to find decals for.
my only worry is that it is 1/48. I build 1/72 (mostly because they take up less room) and this will be out of preportion. But then again, not many people would notice anyway. I could tell most of my freind’s that it’s the Arrow and they would believe me.

Check with Victory Models – they carry some of the Leading Edge packages for the RCAF Voodoos.
Graham Matchbox had a CF-101B in 1/72 with Canadian & US markings I’ve seen the kit in some hobby shops in Ottawa and Montreal. Leadingedge has a set of decals for the Canadian Voodoo with markings for all squadrons. I hope this helps.

I think the best decal sheet would be from Mike Belcher (belcherbits.com) he’s got a set that will cover any voodoo in Canadian service (minus the ones that were done up in special paint jobs) in either 1:48 or 1:72.
Canadian Voodoos went through three main finish stages:
The first Voodoos we had were B models (no infrared sensor on the nose) and they were mostly left in natural metal or given an aluminum overspray.
When we first traded in the Bs for the IR equiped F version, the Fs were painted in an overall aluminum spray (not uncommon to see pics of 410 Sqn. birds in that scheme)
The grey scheme came into use around 1972 or 73 as part of the fleet’s overhaul package.
I’ve actually seen pictures of grey voodoos with aluminum coloured auxiliary fuel tanks.
The Belcher Bits decal sheet instruction sheet actually goes quite in depth about the variations in schemes through the eras.

I think I still have the belcher bits decal set for the 1/48 Voodo still new and unopened.I had the Monogram century series offering of the Voodo.I had just clear coated it in prep for decals when my nephew decided to test it’s glide path.Turns out the balance is a little off in 1/48 scale.
Let me know if you need the set and I’ll try to find them.I believe it has markings for 410 Sqn as RCAF in the 60s and CAF in the 70s

The Revell.de kit is a reissue of the Matchbox kit.
I built it as a kid and loved it.
It had RCAF and Nevada ANG markings.
I think Revell Germany issued two different 1/72 Voodoo kits. The old Matchbox was reissued right after Revell got their moulds. On a later timescale, Revell made a new tooling of an F-101F in 1/72 (late 90s I think) and Revell Germany has reissued that at least once.
The newer kit is quite a step up from the old Matchbox kit; really it looks like they used the Monogram 1/48 kit as a starting point and scaled it down to 1/72.
I also remember to old Matchbox Voodoo. I built it in its original Matchbox issue that had an RCAF B version in 409 Sqn. markings, An RF-101B of the Nevada air guard and an F-101F of the North Dakota air guard.

Anyone know of decals for the CAF “Lark” sqd red and blue F-101 with a lark painted on the side? Are the “Hawk One” decals still available? The Hawk One decal sheet included the decals for the all black “Electric Jet”. I’m also looking for decals for the Lynx sqd. sorry to jump into your thread, but I too like the Canadian Voodoos, and Canadians eh.
